What do we cover?

• How to get a bartending gig? The school is going to tell you they will “refer you”….

  Yeah, ok. Just in case that doesn’t happen you need to get proactive. We can show you how

• Learn at a real bar

  They say they have a “real” working bar. No they don’t.

• Learn from real WORKING bartenders, including Keith himself. We are going to learn together.

  Not a guy in California or a lady who used to tend bar in the 40s

• Learn the legal responsibilities, health and safety concerns of the workplace. Certification is available.

  (You’re not gonna get a job without that) Again, we can show you all the things you need to work)

• Learn a bar: blenders, soda guns, sinks, glassware, speed racks, ice bins, bottles, etc…

  In accordance with all health regulations, classes will be classroom style, but we will also be behind the patio bar and main bar to get hands on experience

• !!!A SHINY CERTIFICATE!!!

  You will get a certificate of completion IF you earn it. You will get one from the Strip Mall Bartending School as well and they will give it to you, if you earn it or not. More importantly, if you have completed the course and have completed food handling safety, you will have an opportunity to work an actual shift and make actual drinks for actual customers.

• Equipment and Bar Set Up - Need to know stuff

• Mixology - Obviously :)

• Liquors - Beers - Wines That’s a lot to cover

• Garnishes and Fruit Cutting - Yeah, need to know

• Profit Pouring - Don’t know what means? Not going to learn it in a strip mall.

• Customer Service - I could spend 40 hours on this alone

• Alcohol Awareness - Want to not get arrested? This is good stuff.

• Cash Register Procedures and Cash Handling - I hope we make it this far…I’m just getting started
